Serve the Lord with Gladness
At Blaney Baptist Church, we believe every believer has been uniquely gifted by God to serve His Kingdom. Volunteering isn’t just about filling a role — it’s about using your gifts and talents to glorify God, build up His Church, and make His name known in our community and beyond.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
— Colossians 3:23 (ESV)

Volunteer Requirements — FAQ
Do I need to be a member to volunteer?
Yes. All volunteers must be active members of Blaney Baptist Church for at least six months before serving. This helps ensure that those serving are rooted in our church family and mission.
What if I want to teach or lead a class?
All teaching and leadership positions require that you agree with our Statement of Faith and complete an interview with the pastor before placement. This ensures unity in teaching and ministry direction.
Is a background check required?
Yes. Any position involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults (including the elderly) requires a full background check prior to serving. We take the safety of those we minister to very seriously.
Why are these steps important?
These guidelines help us maintain ministries that reflect Christ’s love, protect the vulnerable, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and care in all we do.
